About the Process & Pricing
Is the estimate free?
Our initial on-site visit and consultation are always free. For a highly detailed, line-by-line proposal using professional Xactimate software, we charge a professional estimating fee. This fee is **100% credited back to your project's total cost** when you decide to hire us. This ensures you receive a serious, accurate estimate worthy of a significant investment in your home.
How long will my project take?
Project timelines vary depending on the scope of work and material availability. After our assessment, we will provide you with a detailed project schedule so you know what to expect and when.
Why might the final cost be different from the estimate?
Our estimates are based on what is visible during the initial inspection and reflect current material and labor costs at that time. However, final costs can vary due to factors like material price changes, additional time required, or changes requested by the homeowner. If any significant changes arise, we will always communicate with you first for approval to ensure full transparency and avoid surprises.
Working With Insurance
Will you work directly with my insurance company?
Yes. We can work directly with your insurance adjuster and provide detailed Xactimate estimates to support your claim. While we handle the insurance process on your behalf, our contract is with you. That means you pay us directly, and we provide all the documentation you need for reimbursement.
My contract is with you or my insurance company?
Our construction contract is directly with you, the homeowner. This is crucial as it allows us to work for *your* best interest and not be delayed by the insurance company's payment schedules. We provide all the detailed documentation you need to ensure you are properly reimbursed by your insurer.
Can I wait to pay until I receive the money from my insurance company?
While we do everything we can to help you get the most coverage from your insurance, payment for our work is not dependent on when your insurance pays. Our contract is directly with you, the homeowner, so we kindly ask that payments follow the agreed terms, regardless of insurance timing.
